Did you know Isabella Rossellini’s mother was the actress Ingrid Bergman?
Isabella Fiorella Elettra Giovanna Rossellini was born on June 18th 1952, and is an Italian actress, filmmaker, author, philanthropist, and model.
Rossellini is noted for her 14-year tenure as a Lancôme model, and for her roles in films such as Blue Velvet and Death Becomes Her.
Rossellini was born in Rome, the daughter of Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman, of Swedish and German descent, and Italian director Roberto Rossellini, who was born in Rome from a family originally from Pisa, Tuscany.
She has three siblings from her mother: her twin sister Isotta Ingrid Rossellini, who is an adjunct professor of Italian literature; a brother, Robertino Ingmar Rossellini.
What I’ve always liked about Isabella Rossellini, in 2008 she came out these short animal films called Green Porno. That aired on the Sundance Channel.
Today’s YouTube video is brought to you by user name, Sundance TV, of short film on how hamsters reproduce. In this cute film of Isabella Rossellini, acting as though she was a hamster.
A five-episode online series that premiered in mid-2010 and explores the topic of animal courtship as with Green Porno, Rossellini wrote, directed, and acted in the series (she is also a producer of the series). Rossellini explained in 2010,” I always wanted to make films about animals there’s not an enormous audience, but there’s an enormous audience for sex.”
In her honest answer, I had myself a little chuckle because as you know sex does sell, but I enjoy her Green Porno short films.
In lieu of todays story today, check out other stories that the actress has created on the Sundance Channel, by typing in on YouTube, “Isabella Rossellini Green Porno.”
As you try to get into story time theme on Green Porno, remember LISTEN and SILENT, are spelled with the same letters. Think about it, as you watch her film clips, and find a new appreciation for Isabella Rossellini, as we celebrate her birthday today!
